On June 6th around the world, communities came together for the third Global 5G Protest Day in 2020,

to peacefully protest the implementation of 5G wireless technology and to call for a moratorium until 5G is proven
safe for humans and wildlife. Stop 5G International, an aligned group of advocates behind the Global Protest Days,
joins the growing number of groups around the world calling for safer technology, such as fiber or cable, for most of
our internet and telecommunications needs.

5G, the next generation of wireless technology, seeks to connect every “thing" and “event" on earth as part of the
internet of things, smart cities, smart regions etc. in order to gather a nearly infinite amount of data. To do so, the
wireless industry is installing cell tower antennas in front of every third to fifth home to complement tens of
thousands of satellites that will orbit Earth, and millions of Earth Base Stations. All this infrastructure will vastly
increase public exposure to wireless radiation while significantly decreasing privacy and security. Of concern as well
is the mega increase in energy consumption, resource extraction, and resultant streams of e-waste, all contributing
to environmental damage.

Invoking the Precautionary Principle, as well as the Right to Informed Consent enshrined in UN law, protesters
believe the public should have the right to choose the infrastructure best suited for their community, and to decide
whether an all-things-connected world is, indeed, the kind of world we want to pass on to our children.
Events were held in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Belgium, France, The UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Mallorca, Ibiza, Greece, Slovenia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US.

The next Global Protest Day, expected to be the largest yet, is planned for September 26th, 2020.

It is our hope that these Global Protest Days of peaceful actions will bring greater public awareness to the harms of
5G, and will start a dialogue about wiser technology options for a safer and more life-affirming future.
